Beili Wong is the Vice President, Audit and Risk, CAE at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). She is a trusted and strategic advisor to Broads and management on matters in relation to finance, risk management and controls. A strong proponent of pragmatic transformations, process optimization, revenue enhancement and cost savings. Proven track record supporting Boards and Board Committees to fulfill their oversight responsibilities.
Beili is a thought leader and contributor to auditing standards in the public sector. She has been a member of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB)’s Public Sector Auditing Standards Review Task Force since 2015. The Task Force provides advice to the AASB to update the Sections in the Handbook that apply to the audits of public sector entities. Beili has also been actively serving the internal audit profession and community for over 10 years. She was the inaugural Chair for the IIA Toronto Chapter. Currently, she sits on the Boards of Governors of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), its Canadian, North American and Global Boards, charting the future of IIA governance.
Beili is an immigrant to this great nation. Prior to calling Canada home, her global working experience includes consulting and audit projects in 18 countries and four continents, with experience in retail, wholesale, logistics, manufacturing operations, and government.
