Vivian Liu is a Senior Manager in the Risk Advisory Services practice. Vivian has over six years of experience in evaluations, risk and control assessments, internal audit engagements, limitation of liability assessments, and independent third-party reviews. She has developed strong analytical and communication skills through academia and professional experience in both the public and private sectors during work placements. Vivian is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a Risk Management Assurance Certification. She has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Finance (French Immersion) from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.
Vivian has played a vital role in growing BDO’s evaluation practice for several years, developing and maintaining relationships with public sector clients and Crown corporations such as Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Canada Council for the Arts. Working alongside subject matter experts, Vivian has led all aspects of evaluation engagements, including conducting interviews, compiling working paper summaries, and developing reports. Vivian has also participated in several internal audit engagements for various government clients. Her responsibilities have ranged from reviewing and documenting findings from audit fieldwork, participating in interviews, and developing findings decks for debriefs to management. She has also developed draft and final audit reports supporting the project team leads on multiple audit and advisory assignments.
Vivian also has experience in Indigenous Consulting Services, supporting project leaders when working with Indigenous communities and organizations to achieve their socio-economic goals.
