She-Yang is a certified internal auditor working in the Strategic Planning Section of the Canada Revenue Agency’s Criminal Investigations Division. He has worked with the federal government since 2014, starting in information management and in providing support to senior leadership, before starting his career as an internal auditor in 2018.In addition to his work experience, She-Yang has an Honours BA with Majors in Psychology and Criminology. During and after his studies, he served a decade in the Canadian Forces reserves as an infantry soldier. He trained with the 33 Canadian Brigade Group’s Influence Activities Company, as a Psychological Operations (PSYOPS) Analyst, receiving training in Military Police interview techniques, and Canadian Security Intelligence Service and PSYOPS analysis, all while training alongside PSYOPS veterans from the NATO mission in Afghanistan.She-Yang is fascinated by the inner workings of human minds. He is an avid reader of books on psychology and behavioural economics, such as Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman and Nudge by Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein. He loves spending time outdoors, singing, and crafting. These hobbies help him to relax and to sharpen his creativity and problem-solving skills. He also loves spending leisure time in the woods with his wife, two children and dog.
