Director General, Internal Audit and Evaluation, CRA,
Louis Seabrooke is the Director General of the Internal Audit and Evaluation Directorate in the Audit, Evaluation, and Risk Branch at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). He oversees multiple portfolios which include External Audit Liaison, Internal Audit and Program Evaluation assurance and advisory activities across the Agency, as well as Professional Practices and Data Analytics within the branch.

Louis holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Prior to joining the executive ranks of the CRA in 2015, he began his career performing assurance and tax services at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Montreal, after which he joined the Federal Public Service with service in two large departments and the Office of the Comptroller General.

In 2014, the Institute of Internal Auditors recognized Louis as one of the top 20 emerging leaders for leadership, innovation, and advocacy. Furthermore, he represented the Federal Public Service at the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference in 2017, which provided an excellent opportunity for him to broaden his perspectives and enhance his own leadership qualities while interacting with some of Canada’s greatest leaders.

A few of his formal speaking engagements include workshops for the CRA’s Agency Leadership Development Program, the Canada School of Public Service’s Aspiring Directors Program, and the New Auditor Training Program at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Louis also stays connected with the youth by being an active mentor to future leaders and through his role as the branch’s Champion for the Agency’s Young Professional’s Network.
