Dan is an innovative audit executive and thought leader with over 20 years experience. He has led major transformations of cross-enterprise processes, risk frameworks, and internal audit organizations, resulting in over $100 million in cost savings and avoidance. Dan is a frequent national speaker on auditing for value, customer relationships, process improvement, fraud prevention, and risk management. His book, The Audit Value Factor – Making Management’s Head Turn, is a guide for creating and maintaining a value-added internal audit function. Dan currently sits on the San Francisco IIA Board of Governors and is a past member of the IIA Global Guidance Development Committee.
He has spoken at numerous local IIA events and is speaking on his new book “The Audit Value Factor” at the 2020 IIA GAM Conference in Las Vegas, NV. Dan has also spoken for several years at the national MIS Training Institute (MISTI) Audit World Conference, and was an instructor for the MISTI Chief Audit Executive Training Program. He has spoken on numerous Chief Audit Executive Panels and on Fraud Prevention panels for the ACFE. His 2019 MISTI Audit World speaker score was 4.58 out 5.0.
