In January 2019, Annie became the Chief Audit Executive and Director General, Audit, Evaluation and Ethics at CSE, Canada’s national cryptologic agency and one of Canada’s key intelligence agency. CSE is also the home of the Canadian Center for Cyber Security, the lead cyber security technical authority for the Government of Canada.
Prior to this, Annie was Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) from Oct. 2014 to Jan. 2019 managing a national organization. She has also held various other executive and management positions in Finance, Internal Controls and Accounting over her 15 years of service at ESDC, a government of Canada department. During that time, Annie had the opportunity to work very closely with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada and ESDC’s Departmental Audit Committee where she presented, as an example, 4 sets of annually audited financial statements including expenditures of more than $130 billion annually. Annie started her career as an external auditor at Ernst & Young, where she audited organizations and projects in various fields such as telecommunications. She also performed a number of international audits for the Canada International Development Agency. Annie has more than 18 years of experience managing teams of all sizes.
Annie has a Bachelor of Commerce with a Specialization in Accounting and she is a Certified Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA).
