Kathy, is the City Auditor for the City of Calgary, leading a team of 16 audit and investigation professionals since June 2013. Kathy brings to her role more than 25 years of global internal audit and risk management experience gained from multi-industries including Energy, Mining and Canadian Banking.

Kathy is passionate on the positive impact and value provided by the auditing profession and is a lifelong learner who successfully obtained her Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Chartered Director (C. Dir) designations. Her academic education includes a Bachelor of Arts from University of Western Ontario, Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University College, and an Executive MBA, from Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

In her personal time, she provides volunteer services as a board member for the Institute of Internal Auditors Canada and a member of the Municipal Oversight Program Advisory Group for the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation.
