“Albert Einstein once said “What I value in life is quality rather than quantity.” Not only is quality in life of utmost importance to me, but quality itself is at the core of what I do for a living. My main role is to perform ongoing and periodic quality assessments across the entire spectrum of assurance and consulting work performed by internal audit, evaluation, and risk functions. My objective is to provide the audit committee and management with evidence that internal audit, evaluation, and risk activities are efficient and effective and that they are adding value to our organization.
I’m also a strong believer in economist Ronald H. Coase’s famous quotation, which stated, “If you torture the data long enough, it will confess.” Part of my work involves providing leadership, vision and strategic direction to a group of “data torturers” responsible for delivering services to internal audit, evaluation, and risk professionals in the areas of data mining, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and natural language generation.
My goal as an executive is to support the personal and professional growth of my teams. Through artificial intelligence and machine learning, my vision is to continue modernizing the way our organization does business and ensuring that Canadians are receiving the best possible service.”
