Leah White, CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, CRMA, PCI QSA, CISM is the Partner responsible for Grant Thornton LLP’s Risk and Forensic Services within the Atlantic region, and resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is passionate about internal audit, and works with a wide variety of organizations, in both the private and public sectors, to assist them in achieving their goals through effective governance, risk management and internal control.
A frequent presenter on internal audit-related topics, Leah believes that people do their best work when they love what they do, and provides coaching and mentoring to help internal auditors to identify their purpose and passion, and to bring the ‘fun’ back into internal audit. (Because yes, internal audit can, and should, be meaningful AND fun).
Leah is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, possesses a Certification in Risk Management Assurance, is a Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor, and also holds her Certified Information Security Manager designation. Leah also served as the President of the Maritime Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the District Representative for Eastern Canada, and is the current District Advisor for Canada and a member of the Canadian Board. She is also an active Committee member with the Maritime Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
