Laura’s experience includes working with not-for-profit, public, and private organizations, with a concentration in financial services. She has significant experience in designing and executing quality assurance programs, as well as developing and deploying global methodologies, including risk assessments. Laura has led operational, IT governance, change, and strategic engagements. Her focus in internal auditing has spanned more than 12 years and has occupied roles with Canada Life and the Regional Internal Audit Team of Southwestern Ontario school boards (Ministry of Education).
She is a course facilitator with the IIA North America, and is past chair of the Southwestern Ontario chapter of the IIA. Laura is also busy preparing the next generation of auditors in her role as Professor at Fanshawe College, Instructor at McMaster University, and Session Leader for CPA Ontario.
