Wade King is the Director of Safe Disclosure and Human Rights at the University of Alberta. Having subject matter expertise in both human rights and disclosure practices, Wade has been at the forefront of implementing disclosure programs that both create a “”safe”” experience for those reporting concerns and enable organizations to address on wrongdoing.

Currently, Wade is a Director (and past-President) of the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment in Higher Education, Awards Committee Member of the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights and a Director of the Edmonton Business Diversity Network. He is also a past -President of the Pride Centre of Edmonton.

A popular speaker and educator, Wade has spoken to numerous national audiences, including the MS Society, the Canadian Access and Privacy Association (CAPA), the Access and Privacy Conference ( Faculty of Extension, U of A ) and the Canadian Association of University Business Officers ( CAUBO). He has recently presented sessions for the CPA-Alberta Assist program on the topics of bullying and sexual harassment.
