Kerri started her career in internal audit in the summer months while attending the University of Manitoba, and never looked back. She spent several years in the private sector before joining the very small, very new audit shop at Canadian Grain Commission in Winnipeg in 2011. At the CGC, Kerri worked on both audit operations and professional practices as well as a whole lot of other things, such as the Values and Ethics committee. In 2019 Kerri transferred to the Winnipeg office of Public Safety Canada to try her hand at an external audit role in the Program Audit Unit of the Emergency Management and Programs Branch. Kerri has recently decided to return to her true passion of internal audit at Elections Canada, where she is helping with the establishment of new internal audit function for the agency. Kerri’s personal interests are drawing, singing and fitness training; however, as the mom of two goalies she has also become a reluctant hockey fan. When the rink closes up she spends her summers at the cabin with her husband, the two boys, and of course the “pandemic puppy,” Finn!
