Over his three decades of experience, Kas has led or participated in numerous investigations for public and private sector clients. His investigations have included contribution agreement spending and claim irregularities, contracting irregularities, billing schemes, administrative inquiries, domestic and foreign corruption and other investigations involving allegations of fraud or wrongdoing. Kas has conducted numerous fraud risk management engagements in the public and private sectors, including fraud risk assessments for Federal Government Departments, Crown Corporations and Provincial ministries, and private sector fraud risk management engagements. He has worked on behalf of, or in conjunction with, Federal and Provincial departments and agencies, Crown Corporations, public and private corporations, legal counsel, insurance companies and police authorities.
Kas’ speaking engagements include presentations to audit committees, trade associations, corporations, public sector departments and agencies, Crown Corporations, legal counsel, and others on fraud/economic crime, fraud awareness and fraud risk management programs, as well presentations to representatives of the insurance industry on the quantification of personal injury losses, the principles of Business Interruption Insurance, forensic document assessment and analysis and fraud risks and indicators in insurance claims.
