Over the last eighteen years, Reema has provided assurance and advisory services for clients in the financial services industry with a focus on banking and asset management sectors.

She has led engagements on high profile clients which involved overseeing and leading audit planning, execution and reporting phases. She has developed and led Sarbanes-Oxley controls testing programs, an IFRS 9 implementation project, and finance function governance and control framework over financial reporting reviews. Reema has also assisted clients on various finance transformation and large system implementation initiatives from an operational process, governance and controls perspective.

Reema is committed to the learning and growth of Finance professionals in the marketplace and in her team. She was engaged in offering a leadership development program designed for highly talented professionals in the Canadian marketplace, identified as potential successors to current CFOs.

Reema is currently a Partner in KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice in Toronto. With the current heightened regulatory environment and demands by stakeholders in the financial services sector, her objective is to help clients navigate through their governance and risk management journeys.

Reema holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation and earned a Bachelor of Arts-Honours and Masters of Accounting from the University of Waterloo.

Reema is also a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Macaulay Child Development Centre. She believe that investing in our children today is essential as the experiences we provide a child shapes who they are and who they will become.
