Zachary is an advisory partner in the KPMG Toronto office where he serves primarily Canadian Banks, broker dealers, asset managers, financing companies, insurers, as well as, schedule 2 foreign banking institutions. He began servicing the Financial Services industry starting in 2006 and has provided internal audit, regulatory and compliance advisory services, as well as, assurance and risk management services over the past 12 years. He specializes in capital markets, asset management, insurance, retail and commercial banking, compliance functions and risk management. Most recently, he has been assisting a major Canadian Bank in updating their internal audit approach to Payment Risk, assessing the impact of Payment Modernization on the Bank’s risk environment and developing a new framework to address the key risk points in the Payment journey throughout the Bank.
Over the course of his career at KPMG, Zachary has supported large Financial Services organizations in both Canada and the U.S. with planning and implementing programs to comply with new and existing laws and regulations. He was been involved in the planning, execution and reporting of financial audits, regulatory compliance and SOX readiness audits, providing him with extensive experience with risk-based audits and compliance engagements.
