Leadership, Resilience and Meditation – ways to support our organizations, our people, and ourselves
I engage with others in the practice of meditation and mindfulness as it relates to leadership. As leaders of our organizations, we set the tone by setting the example of being resilient, composed, and present. COVID is taking a toll on people’s overall well being. The illness, stress, and fatigue of this pandemic will have long term affects. Meditation is a way to support minimizing the impact on people. Mindfulness and meditation, is a tool that can help to:
- Enhance the power of our attention
- Be more focused in the present moment
- Increase self awareness
- See the bigger picture
- Be less reactive
All factors that enhance our leadership development and growth. What started out as a professional growth exercise at work for me has turned into so much more. Leadership development is where the meditation journey began for me.
