Open source intelligence is also known as OSINT is simply information that can be gathered publicly. The internet holds a vast array of knowledge provided we know where and how to find it. This session will deliver several useful strategies to find what you are looking for online.

Some areas where organizations are beginning to use OSINT for internal audit are for compliance and risk management. For example, in cases of control activities, this might include creating a monitoring system for sensitive information internally. In the area of risk management, OSINT can be utilized to monitor your protected data. Understand also how computer settings can influence the type of searches returned to your audit group and how to maximize efficiency.
