5.7 Are you an Introvert or an Extrovert? How to Leverage the Unique Qualities of each Personality Type to Strengthen your Team

There are many different aspects to diversity, and one of those elements to consider is diversity of personality. The Quiet Leadership Institute estimates that about half of workers self-identify as introverts, but 96% of leaders and managers self-identify as extroverts. But what are the unique strengths and challenges of each group, and how do we develop a better understanding of how to effectively work and communicate better together, within our Internal Audit teams, as well as with Senior Manager, Board members, and individuals we work with? This session will address the characteristics of these distinctive types of personalities, as well as how we can use this understanding to create positive and supportive work environment both for those who are energized by ongoing interactions, and those who need more alone time to think and recharge.
