According to the 2018 North American Pulse of Internal Audit, to be an internal disruptor, CAEs need to break out of their historical frame of reference and embrace agility and innovation. The latest Institute of Internal Auditors Pulse survey found that less than half of the CAEs surveyed consider their internal audit functions to be very or extremely agile. The results also showed innovation is not a consistent activity throughout the internal audit profession. The conclusion; internal audit must transform itself to provide value to organizations in the midst of disruption.
Finding and attracting enough candidates with the right skills continues to be a challenge for CAEs. That challenge increases dramatically when we look at the disproportionate number of male versus female CAEs.
The IIA Canada’s Women in Internal Audit Leadership Forum (WIL) is designed to encourage discussion and analysis of the IA landscape for women particularly. It provides women with the opportunity to network with like-minded females in Internal Audit executive roles. This forum includes a panel discussion, keynote presentation and plenty of time for questions, answers and open discussion. The event begins with a networking lunch and includes another networking break later in the afternoon.
Join us for this exciting opportunity to look at the themes of agility and innovation from the perspective of the women in Internal Audit leadership.
